Keyword Research and Selection

Just like search engine optimization, the foundation of your Pay Per Click campaign is keyword research and selection. These are the words you will be bidding on to advertise to your target market.

Your business has unique value, and we'll make sure we understand your business and your market, so we can do all the hard work of developing just the right keywords your potential customers are using when they're looking on search engines.

We'll find great and often unexpected keywords for you because we look at the popularity of keywords and the competition for your keywords based on search volumes, market data, and keyword research practices. We also use negative keywords, exact matching, and phrase matching to eliminate any results that may show up that you wouldn't want to see and make sure your keywords are as highly targeted as possible. For example, if you sell used books, a search for "rare used books" might bring up your ad. If you don't sell rare books, there would be no point in showing your ad, right? To ensure you only target the right customers, in this case, we would add the word "rare" as a negative keyword.

Ad Groups and Ad Copy

Once your keywords are determined, we set up your account breaking up the keywords into logical ad groups, such as product category. This allows you to track the success of each keyword category and also to show more targeted ads specific to each keyword phrase or category.

Landing Page Design and Optimization

The landing page needs to grab the eye and be highly relevant to the ad. If it isn't, the visitor won't stick around long. Different ads need to go to different landing pages to maximize the success of your ad campaign. We can choose the best landing pages for each keyword ad based on what you currently have, or we can optimize your existing pages. Additionally, we can design completely new landing pages for you.

Landing pages are the key to making conversions once the visitor gets to your site. You want your landing pages to be highly relevant and specific to the ad. For example, if you have an ad offering 20% off a particular product, you want your visitor to come to a page that displays the exact offer and the exact product you advertised. If you simply take them to your home page, another generic page, or even the product page without the offer, you risk losing that potential customer.

PPC Bid Optimization

Based on your budget and market data, we will determine the best bid amounts for each of your keywords, but we don't stop there.
